Thread from a couple months back, showing other old-school exotics that frequent this spot several times per year...

Earlier Tuesday afternoon, I caught 9-77 built SSW 62683 (B-100-42?) at the Norwalk, CA team track on UP's Santa Ana Industrial lead into Orange Co. Still had a fully intact ACI tag as well.

And right next to the SSW car, a 6-76 built BX-100-43 lettered for MP 268200. Shame about all the tagging (there were several area teenagers on the shady sides actively spraying away as I photographed the sunny sides), but as long as the contents is protected, the shippers really don't care.

Thanks for the photos from Norwalk, where I lived for 20 years. Great area for railfans during those years ('80s and '90s) but many interesting stuff was disappearing.

Thanks for showing us these; my old stomping grounds.

Just an observation but I've noticed taggers, bless their hearts, generally, seem to be aware of the importance
of leaving car numbers, dimension data, air brake inspection dates etc., if not untouched, at least readable.

If you catch taggers at work call 911.

"What's your emergency?"  Don't tie up emergency lines with calls that should go to the non-emergency line.

In addition, in a state - California - where many felonies have been reduced to misdemeanors or less, (you can now shoplift up to $900.00 worth of goods from any store and the police won't even respond to calls for help from the store), calling 911 for graffiti vandalism would not likely get much of a response.  It's "Artwork" don't cha know.

And be prepared to be admonished about misusing the 911 system.

False.  It's a safe bet if you shoplift in CA and are caught, you will face the consequences, comensurate to the theft and any priors, much like any other crime.  Shoplifting is not "legal", despite what you might have seen in a meme regarding prop 47.

Correct-a-mundo, a B-100-42 class car, built by FMC.  Dang good catch in relatively good paint, not to mention that intact ACI (did you happen to shoot any closeups of it?)

Prolly the best I can offer, with a sharpened 100% crop from my iphone image...
