Western Railroad Discussion > H-DENLAU cruises under some mtn-induced wave clouds in CODate: 11/24/21 08:04 H-DENLAU cruises under some mtn-induced wave clouds in CO Author: jmulhol2 BNSF #3935 (GE ET44C4; built: ??/????), #4002 (GE C44-9W; built: 09/2003) and #6967 (GE ES44C4; built: 03/2012), along with a friendly crew, power a northbound H-DENLAU manifest freight train in a common 3x0 configuration past ~MP68.5 on the BNSF Front Range Subdivision in South Fort Collins, CO, under mountain-induced wave clouds during the morning hours of 11/23/2021. This was actually the scheduled H-DENLAU from the night before (11/22/2021); however, the train tied down in Longs Peak siding overnight. Both the previous crew, and the current crew, reported air brake issues, necessitating the current crew change the FRED on the last car of the train before departing Longs Peak siding. Also, the crew was told to "high ball" (i.e., skip) a 5-car setout en route to Cheyenne, WY. Total # of axles = 298 (3 motors; 70 cars)
