Our local "local" power.    Used for the Monterey, Hollister, and margarita locals by day....The salinas hauler (to warm springs yard in East Bay , (SFO bay area) and back by night.  GP60's are the usual cause of big fuel tanks, low idle fuel usage, A/C for the summer, and comfort for the 120 mile run to paso robles on saturdays,.  15 years afo it was all 38's and 40's.  Now we dont even see the 40's that much anymore.

1518 appears to have an old SP P3 horn, rare on the UP where K3's and K5's dominate.
In the SP days the Junction was an imprtant place with a lot of reefer industies plus the
local freights.

What days/times of the week has the 'Monterey Local' been running? Also, what towns/cities do they stop in to do work along the way?
