Western Railroad Discussion > More Trains with Military Equipment?Date: 03/07/22 16:15 More Trains with Military Equipment? Author: markmcal Just looking at the railfan cams (and exerpts on Youtube) it seems there are more trains carrying tanks, etc., than usual. Anybody else noticed this?

Putin said last month that countries that interfere with his special military operation will face consequences like nothing we have ever seen. There is a flood of trains when a unit does its field training at fort irwin (and a couple of other locations), and a second flood of trains when the training is concluded
2) now that middle eastern deployments are over, alot of equipment has returned to the continental US and is in need of maintenance, refurbishing, storage and in some cases scraping. This generates significant movement. Now if there is a sudden appearance of RORO ships at military docks on the east coast..... This traffic has always been cyclical and people or just watching it more closely now.
