I even like the flag this time!
Author: santafe199

Here’s a small-town scene that’s probably familiar all over the country. I’m taking little artsy-fartsy peek through the Ag Partners Cooperative grounds in Belvue, KS. A westbound UP grain empty is passing through town. There was a time when the RR was a life-line for a small town’s agricultural business. That business was completely dependent upon the local RR to move its commodity to market. Nowadays... not so much. The advent of the massive, centralized, unit-train loading facilities have virtually wiped out the need for those businesses to use their RR. Today It seems like small town ag businesses and their RRs just try to keep out of each others’ way...

1. UP 6633 points a unit grain empty west through Belvue, KS on February 13, 2022. It’s nice to see clean US Flag for a change...

Thanks for looking!

Nice shot, Lance!  I don't recognize what that grey farm eqpt. is?  Never seen one of those.
