Western Railroad Discussion > BNSF Z Train Crashed and Burned Sunday Morning

I didn't get around to posting about this yesterday because I had to get to work. But a BNSF Z train crashd and burned just west of Minot Sunday morning with the fire burning most of the day. Track has since been cleared and trains are running again.

From what I could see Amtrak 7 and 8 may have bussed between Minot and Shelby, MT.

No buses. Saw on Facebook 140 passengers were loaded on 7 at Minot this morning. They had the option of returning or waiting a day

Thank you, but it appears the train sets turned and went east per a tracking site.

Map shows #7 approaching Shelby and #8 approaching Williston, so it looks like they got through today.
