Half a Coors..... Would that make it a Coors Lite?

Coors Lite is redundant.

           Well, if they are 'cutting' them up, someone needs to charpen the saw. That is RAGGED !

Sure, you got a million of those cars, and a water source?

I remember building these cars at Union Tank Car's Plant 1 in East Chicago IN back in 1989-90
The inner tanks were made by Coors and trucked to Indiana
The outer shell and running gear were fabricated by UTLX
We had to inspect the tanks after assembly by pouring a gallon or so of water in the tank and ensuring it drained out by gravity
We were allowed a quart of liquid to remain since they were food grade cars
The interiors were electropolished so a flash light would illuminate the entire car
They were a joy to inspect, not like the usual carbon steel tanks we normally dealt with

Sadly Plant 1 was replaced by a factory in Louisiana and the entire facility was demolished
Great memories and a great place for my first job after the Navy

I think that coors would ship concentrate to some brewery in virginia and create the final product. for the eastern market.  That what these cars were for.

That way they could still say , brewed with pure rocky mountain spring water.

Now  i think the only claim they make any  more , is the regular coors, in the cream yellow  can, is the traditional coors beer, that may have even been dropped.  (also known as Coors Banquet Beer)

The reason is the coors merger with molson,  known as molson-coors now.  The brewing industry maybe be down to inbev is it, and molson-coors?  the trend is reginal breweries i think to keep transport costs down, so perhaps  the claim for  rocky mountain spring water

  may have been dropped now,  i hope not..   But Golden still remains the biggest brewery in the world  i think, but the beer trains as well, haul far less finished product in insulated box cars as well, with the merger and regional brewing.  To bad these cars were not

donated to indian tribes and smaller towns for drinking water storage.  Or even as water catch storage.      Hopefully someone else or google can provide you with better info, as I haven't really researched the industry since the early eighties.
