https://www.davisenterprise.com/news/local/rural-fire-damages-train-trestle-power-lines/ If it's between Woodland and Davis it would be roughly parallel to hiway 113, it doesn't look too challenging to rebuild. Not sure who would get the action to rebuild it, or find funding for it, or how to rebuild it. Maybe somebody can check on the location and report any progress. Might not be a big player in world events but it's a big deal for the route along I-5 from Woodland to the north. ...and yes, the line does not connect to the UPrr at Tehama. There's a red flag and some missing rail at the wye, maybe somewhere else. Date: 06/04/22 12:26 Re: Brush fire in Yolo county Cal Northern? Author: Gonut1 UP has been replacing a lot of small burnt wooden trestles with corrugated steel culverts and back-filled. Probably cheaper and fully fire proof.
