How to shoot in pouring rain
Author: santafe199

Just don’t get outta the car! Big PLOPPING rain drops dominate the scene as I shoot out of windows open just enough to get the picture(s). Later on a local man told me he registered nearly an inch of rain in less than 30”

BTW: this was one of well over 40 trains I put in the bag yesterday. It was an all-time record for yours truly... :^)

1. & 2. BNSF 5620 leads train S LPKLBE 3/15 west out of Emporia after meeting an eastbound intermodal which was taking the yard.

3. The business of railroading rolls on, no matter the weather gods’ quirky deliveries...
Three photos taken at Merrick (crossovers) on the west side of Emporia, KS on June 15, 2022.

Thanks for the towel!

Nice. And it helps to park so the wind is coming over the opposite side of the car from the window you're opening.
