Western Railroad Discussion > BNSF T-6 yard Portland, OR 5-22 new reefersDate: 06/27/22 10:50 BNSF T-6 yard Portland, OR 5-22 new reefers Author: 830-east Date: 06/27/22 11:03 Re: BNSF T-6 yard Portland, OR 5-22 new reefers Author: funnelfan I saw a Lineage reefer truck trailer on the highway near Pasco last Saturday. So apparently rail is not their only line of business any more.
Ted Curphey Ontario, OR Date: 06/27/22 11:07 Re: BNSF T-6 yard Portland, OR 5-22 new reefers Author: mojaveflyer I've seen a number of these in the Coors Yard in Golden, CO. A number of them have already been tagged..... :-(

We used to have these short little 50-60 foot refers that we’d spot up a certain customer with for years…until not long ago these giant behemoths showed up and really made an easy task very difficult. Not a fan. And they’re also very hard to ride.

line wouldn't last long without Coors. Out Date: 06/27/22 15:54 Re: BNSF T-6 yard Portland, OR 5-22 new reefers Author: PHall exprail Wrote:

Most of them got rebuilt with new reefer units, too.

The one's in the picture at the top of the thread are really insulated "boxcars", the new century version (Coors have been using these a lot now days). Lineage also has many new refrigerated cars running now (recent build dates), which look much like these insulated boxcars. The key give aways, obviously the lack of a refrigeration unit on the rear of the car, and also, the new "boxcars" are a little shorter. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 06/27/22 19:09 by wyeth.
