PEB 250’s rail labor recommendation is out, all 119 pages of it
Author: MrMRL

Use the shorthand link directly to the PDF file posted below. The actual PEB recommendations begin around page 34. Condensed summary of recommendations on pages 116-117.

I'd imagine both parties to this discussion are feverishly convening conference calls and meetings at the moment drafting their responses to the document.

That's a link to a Facebook group and all the comments are looking for a link to the recommendations.

Perhaps someone will provide us with real information.

I've read both the summary and the bits and pieces and have found NOTHING that addresses the potential job action. The wage increases
total about 2% behind inflation, look at the employee increased medical costs thrown in and ONE additional paid personal leave per year!?!
I'm sure the vote on this will be a surprise to no one but in other matters the Canadians settled for less.

Nope.

What a joke.

It's just as I've been saying, the rails either lock out or let walk and Congress comes in and pushes
this as a settlement and bingo, the rails come out farther ahead than if they'd negotiated and settled.

Looks to me like they refused to address absentism policy and crew consist issues.
Picket signs, comfortable shoes and better update the resume.

Exactly, there is nothing that addresses the real problem. If this were a 5 X 8 or 5 X 10 regular job the money wouldn't
be an issue.

That's because they were not part of the initial petition.

Yes that's true BUT this is a docuiment that was prepared for the purpose of avoiding a strike, I see little evidence
that point was addressed. The STB hearings were way biased toward issues other than money, was the PEB not
aware of that, original petition or not. Like I said, square toed oxfords and boot that can! Hello Congress!

Not really. The Government will step in and threaten the union leaders with jail time and fines. Needless to say, it will be short.
