Western Railroad Discussion > Montana Rail Link Logan Local to Harrison

Continuing from my trip in May, (More photos soon from a second trip in July) May 24th's plan was to purely chase the Logan local to Harrison and back. 

1. Shortly after arriving at Logan Yard, the local returns from it's first pickup with hoppers from Trident. 

2. Once the local arrives in the yard, a westbound Jimbo departs with a caboose at the rear. It will later meet the ML at Lombard

4. After setting out the SD40 at Sappington, the GP35 403 runs light down to Harrison. This was shot just off Highway 359.

6. After switching in Harrison, the local returns at the same spot as photo 5 with three hoppers.

7. Same spot as photos 5 & 6, just wider. 

8. Taken from the side of Highway 359 just before the branch verges off eastward to Sappington 

9. Once 403 arrived in Sappington, the 251 was added back onto the local for the return trip back to Logan.
