Don't heed the sign's warning.

Here's the sign from Google street view.  "Low Ground Clearance" with a picture for illiterate drivers.  Note that the truck trailer is exceptionally low to the ground, yet the driver still chose to proceed.

5'th wheel on the truck was very strong. I pulled 2 of them off the trucks in collisions.

Is that the only warning sign?  That sign does not appear to give a truck driver much space to turn around.  I would think that a large sign at a prior intersection would be a smart thing to have so that a driver could take another street.

Has nothing to do with 'large' trucks, it is specifically a problem with 'low boy' and very low frame trucks as shown. Any regular tractor - trailer ( box, reefer, hopper?, flatbed ) would go over the tracks with no trouble.

It looked to me that there was not sufficient space between the tracks and the intersection on the far side of the tracks for the truck to be able to fit, hence putting the truck at risk.
