Date: 11/25/22 08:11 Re: Bob Krieger Bob3985 Passed Away Author: UP951West I shall never forget watching Bob operate UP 3985 in a double header with UP 844 in April , 1991 enroute to Sacramento for Railfair . Bob had arranged a cab ride for me with Steve Lee. The ride was Cheyenne to Laramie over storied Sherman Hill . The noise and the heat and the exhaust smoke as two huge steam locomotives roared upgrade at full throttle through Hermosa Tunnel was almost unbelieveable , but what impressed me about all of this was the the look of concern on Bob's face and asking me if I was alright after we exited the tunnel. That's the thing about Bob Krieger ... he cared about his friends ! What a man ! Rest in peace , my friend.

That's how I felt when I 1ST met him when the Challenger was in LA for the Democratic National Convention back in 2000, he made you feel like you were part of the team the way he introduced me when I entered the Souvenir Car!
