House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Wednesday urged her colleagues to support both a bill to avert a national rail strike and a second piece of legislation that would give workers seven days of paid sick leave — addressing a concern from liberal lawmakers about the underlying deal brokered by the Biden administration.

The proposals are bring debated now

I think there should be sick days and should have been in original agreement.

However bad some may think the original deal is it was a result of give and take which the government was party to, at least what we heard from the administration.

If the Congress wants to add to the deal they should pay for it otherwise it is simply a bait and switch.

The Bill imposing the Tentative Agreement is HJR 100. It passed 290-137. Shortly thereafter the House adopted, by a vote of 221-207, HCR 119 which amended (technically "corrected") HJR 100 by adding a provision mandating 7 days of paid sick leave.

Seven Days:

(B) that the use of any 7 days of paid sick leave annually, regardless of whether such days are provided under a tentative agreement, side letter, or local carrier agreement or under an existing labor agreement described in subparagraph (A), will not result in any points, demerits, or disciplinary citations under any party's attendance policy.

Biden has demanded that the 1st Resolution be on his desk to sign by the weekend, with, or without the 2nd Resolution (with the Paid Sick Leave) being passed.
