Detroit Edison coal train routing
Author: commissioner

Good morning,
Does anyone know the routing for the the Detroit Edison trains going to Michigan? I know they used to go BNSF, interchange at Western Avenue in Chicago and get on the NS via Amtrak at 21st St. to Michigan. Is this still the case? TIA

From what I see from my weekday Metra commute, this is still the case. Loads and empties are interchanged between NS and BNSF at Western Avenue Yard.
