Colorado Pacific RR - Merry on Maine, Eads, CO

Colorado Pacific RR CXR will participate in Merry on Maine (spelling is correct-!) event Sunday, December 4, 2022. Santa is expected to arrive by rail on the Colorado Pacific locomotive(s) at 1:00 PM on former Missouri Pacific Towner Line.

Ho, Ho, Ho, here we go-!  Some eight motorcars are expected to join the train into town.  North American Railcar Operators Association.

Merry on Maine event welcomed Santa 🎅 to Eads, CO, 4 December 2022.  Colorado Pacific Railroad carried Santa 🤶 into town.

A few more,,,,lonely Towner Line on the return trip

At the Arlington Siding, sunset with some lonely signals no longer serving their orginal duty. Long since abandoned and vandalized, they now face away from the track no longer able to protect the stored tank cars on the siding.   Taken on the way home while towing one of the motorcars back from the set off at Haswell, CO.

A few more from the festivities at Eads

1. Af few miles west of Eads the Col Pac locos with Santa  waited for the motorcar group to arrive from Haswell.
2. A line of kids waiting to tell Santa what they want for Christmas, locos holding the main on Maine Street crossing.
3. Some of the former owners still shown on the signal bunglow in downtown Eads   Note that spelling on the bunglow does not match actual spelling of Maine on street signs....
