CP Holiday Train in SE iowa plus a few other things.
Author: MILW86A

Sunday December 4 I went down to catch the CP Holiday Train but also got a few other goodies as well.

1. First up at the crack of dawn was BNSF BLPCOMA on Main 1 at Albia, IA. Empty containers for the ramp in Omaha.

2. Coming down the hill on the CP was loaded sand train 622. They had the power fueled at Rutledge before heading south

3. Another Military unit knocked off my list

7. Some of the CP Police helping with parking and crowd control.

8. Performing in Ottumwa

9, 10 and 11. I went to Blakesburg IA and caught the train going at a good clip heading south for Chilicothe MO and Kansas City. There were several at Foster Bridges but I didnt feel like driving on the gravel

15 and 16

Parked north of Albia at Sheehan on the Des Moines Branch was an empty grain train for Pleasant Hill, IA. This train was sitting when I came down and was still there when I was coming home so I nabbed a couple of shots including a warbonnett.

Thanks for looking.
