Nighttime empty coal train led by solo EMD SD70ACe w/ funky horn
Author: jmulhol2

A 1x2 American Crystal Sugar 130-car empty eastbound (geographically southbound) coal unit train from Grand Forks, ND (specifically to Ardoch, ND) --to-- Spring Creek Mine, MT is seen here passing MP96 on the BNSF Hillsboro Subdivision in Grand Forks, ND during the windy and cold nighttime hours of 01/24/2023. Note the funky style horn on the solo EMD SD70ACe leader -- weird and a bit eerie to hear on this blustery and chilly evening.

Very nice nighttime video. Horn sound is indeed weird.
Thanks for your video posting.

Excellent low light video! I wonder if the horn was affected by the cold....

Thank you, James! Also, might be- the wind was howling too, which may have also affected it.
