Western Railroad Discussion > The Curse in Last LightDate: 03/15/23 15:25 The Curse in Last Light Author: MacBeau Back on March 2nd, Kingman got snow, and as usual yours truly got burned by the curse of a warbonnet not on the point. Still, this eastbound 3x0 discovered in Sawmill Canyon did make for a nice last train in usable light.
Be of good cheer, —Mac www.lowellamrine.com Date: 03/15/23 15:30 Re: The Curse in Last Light Author: Ritzville After the Curse, everything turned out quite NICE!!

—Michael Date: 03/16/23 08:02 Re: The Curse in Last Light Author: ntharalson Good stuff, Mac, thanks for posting. Now a question; The bridge in the second photo is over a dry wash. In the Pentrex "Arizona Mainline" video, they call it "Holey Moses Wash". The late Stand Kistler called it "Snowmass Wash" in an article in the Santa Fe Historical society magazine. On I40 just a little west of this spot, they call it "Holy Moses Wash." My question is, which is it? I've been to this spot more than once and it is truly a great spot. Maybe "gone on 66" can help with this. Thanks again for posting.

I've always known it to be Holy Moses Wash, but none of my topography maps show a name for it. I do know my Lady laughs when she reads the sign on the old highway. Thank you as always for the kind words. —Mac ntharalson Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Now a > question; The bridge in the second photo is over > a dry wash.
