Both Rocky Mountaineer units RMRX 8020 & 8021 were parked near Union Pacific’s North Yard tower, Denver, Sunday, 19 March 2023.

Anyone remember sneaking in there to shoot roster shots and once in awhile the real CEO would come screaming at you?   Usually you could hit and run getting your shots and out of there before anyone noticed.  Depended on where your target units were parked.

Was there in 1963 when Rio Grande and Rock Island were holding this area.  Photo shots were acceptable as long as one stayed out of the yard tracks.

The Beer Run used to set out long west beer on the way in from Golden and I was riding the end of the cut when the RG carmen
drove across the tracks right in front of me, and WJH was over there watching, and I screamed at him. :)

Looking forward to seeing those GP40's pulling Rocky this year.  They missed a lot of trips last year.  BSB

Parked there likely to avoid being graffitied if parked elsewhere in the yard.
