looks like the middle digit is a 7, but this can't be milepost 170-something. The middle-distance high ground in the center of the pic is what we need to find. a left-then-right S-curve like this. SP Western Region Track Chart 1-1-1993.pdf (multimodalways.org) And the center siding extended past MP 171 -- you'd think the tracks would still be spread.
