Western Railroad Discussion > Westbound Coal EmptiesDate: 03/28/23 13:29 Westbound Coal Empties Author: MacBeau At first glance it appeared to be the Robertson rock & sand run out of Cabazon, but as this westbound got closer yesterday it became apparent it was an empty coal train. One of the more savvy will need to confirm, but this could be the Banning, Utah to Mesa, Arizona train serving the cement plant there returning. Not exactly common fare in San Timoteo Canyon.
Be of good cheer, —Mac www.lowellamrine.com ![]() Date: 03/28/23 13:36 Re: Westbound Coal Empties Author: inyosub It could be Guyamas or Rillito Empties. The first routes Nogalas thru Tucson and then a
circuitous route back to Utah. The 2nd is a cement plant just north (rr/w) of Tucson also returns to Utah.. Hope that helps maybe someone with ability to track can detail. Date: 03/28/23 14:34 Re: Westbound Coal Empties Author: TheNavigator Nice shot; San Tim is looking quite green now.
