Really disappointed that it was dry on the UP Canyon Sub on Saturday - as I found a nice spot - on a rock edge - off Portola McLears Rd - to shoot the bridge - but alas no traffic all afternoon.   Still, a beautiful bridge.

Story of the Feather River Route nowadays. Should have been here in the 90's.

Also there late 80's and early 90's, lot more traffic and trees not blocking views of Clio, Keddie, and Williams Loop.

What trains come through here? I saw a list somewhere but can't find it anymore. I remember I-NPOA and maybe a BNSF haulage? Anything else?

INPOA, MNPFR, MGRRV, MNPRV, and various loaded coal and grain trains all head via the Canyon.

Yeah, at times the canyon sub still sees some decent traffic. I'm in Oroville, so naturally well below Keddie a good portion of the trains are BNSF. Often times they will fleet them down the canyon. You just have to hit it at the right time. I usually have terrible luck catching much whenever I'm up the canyon but sitting at home I will sometimes hear 6 - 8 in a row in the late afternoons and evenings.

Is there also an IG2LT or something similar running canyon? I've seen some solid domestic can trains lately.
