Amazon Express? at Fort Madison
Author: Lackawanna484

BNSF ran a long eastbound stack train at Fort Madison Iowa, largely or entirely of Amazon cargo at 4.30 CDT. Three units upfront, two on the rear, about 150 wells. I didn't count.

Interesting makeup. Probably 30 wells with Amazon blue on the bottom, JB Hunt white on top. Some JB trailers, then many more white over blue boxes. A few Matson boxes on top of Amazon blue.

Does Amazon have its own Chicago area terminal?

As soon as this guy went east, two slower trains followed.

I know UPS delivers some Amazon stuff (or did) and UPS has a huge hub there, although it wouldn't suprise me if Amazon has a big hub in Chicago too.

I haven't seen Seattle Q trains going to Chicago via Ft. Madison.  They'd usually take a more northerly route via Aurora Sub.
