Z train down

BNSF's annual summer Z train derailment in Montana just happened at Lohman. Think it was the PTLCHC.

Lohman is the first siding east of Havre. Might want to call it the annual Hi-Line Scatterfest. Seems to happen in either Eastern Montana or North Dakota. Remember the one that crashed and burned west of Minot a couple years ago?

Looking at the video, it looks like the pileup started at a small bridge. Not sure if that was a factor or not. The bridge is here;

About 16-20 platforms off the track?  Not as bad as some.  No detour route until the 23rd so nothing moves in Montana until they get it open, would not be surprised if it takes them less than a day.  #7/#8 had just made it through, will see if they get cancelled or bus bridged tomorrow.

Looks like #7(20) just got through but they're running close to 5 hours late at East Glacier. #8(21) got off to a bad start already 2 hours 12 minutes down at Ephrata. They left Seattle nearly 2 hours late. Wonder if they'll run it past Spokane.
