Western Railroad Discussion > Eclectic Power on the HBRCGALDate: 09/15/23 20:46 Eclectic Power on the HBRCGAL Author: kevink Due to a morning appointment yesterday (Thursday 9/14), I caught a later Metra train into Chicago. I was rewarded during my wait at Clarendon Hills on the BNSF Chicago Sub with the HBRCGAL (Belt Railway Chicago to Galesburg IL). The train was powered by NS 4577, NS 8101 (Central of Georgia) and 2 BNSF GE's. Trailing were four locomotives heading to new owners.

It's one of two NS HU's I just can't seem to catch, the other being the NYC unit. Date: 09/16/23 17:18 Re: Eclectic Power on the HBRCGAL Author: inCHI That's a wild consist! Great catch. I saw some of the BUGX ex-CN switchers bouncing around on CN a year ago or so, neat to see them these days.
