Cataclysmic Failure a la Amtrak Part 2
Author: tferk

Following up MacBeau's post on the failed Amtrak #44 set out at Peach Springs on the BNSF Seligman Sub, another failed unit (158) was set out on 9/5 at CP Maine (Parks, AZ) off #4-04.  Amtrak 4 ran with a single unit east to Winslow, AZ, where it picked up a BNSF leader.

Photo 2 - Yesterday 9/15 a Barstow-Lubbock manifest stopped at Maine and picked up #158, shown towing it eastbound east of Flagstaff.

Amtrak #158 is now westbound on B-PTLLAC, was east of Kingman at 07:30.

Was still there at lunch time as this 41 car westbound loaded vehicle move came along.
