Sounds like they have enough for one more move of five or so locomotives, unless we missed a move. The yard is tough to see these days, too much going on with piles of dirty dirt, MoW security issues and the occasional Siskiyou County Deputy patrol. Even saw a California State car checking for water quality. Oh and the guys without homes working the fishing lines at the south end campground. Date: 11/19/23 18:15 Re: More SD90's on the move Author: ble692 There are five SD9043AC on today's power move out of Dunsmuir. Behind the two working units are UP 3765, 3698, 3748, 3746, 3684. These should have been the last of the stored units there in Dunsmuir.
All total there were 23 SD9043AC stored in Dunsmuir and moved out in four different power moves to Sparks, NV this month... Anything is possible, but the more likely story is they will be harvested for any usable parts and then it will be time break out the acetylene torches.
