Per Steelhighway Railcams (Which I'm a part of)

"This video shows the full event from January 12, 2024 where CPKC Train stalls on Rutledge Hill in Ottumwa, Iowa. When the train stalled, it had cleared the interlocking with BNSF, and BNSF 5946 West was lined through the interlocking by the BNSF dispatcher. After the CPKC train stalled, it started rolling back toward the interlocking while BNSF 5946 West was still occupying the diamond. BNSF 5946 West cleared the interlocking approximately 40 seconds before the CPKC train passed the north absolute signal protecting the diamonds"

Poor crew, scared to death that they were going to slide into the side of a BNSF train. But they did what they could and an accident did not happen. Here is a link to the incident.

Missed that, although the full video is now up. 

i have searched and can't find the video.  any hints on a specific search title that will get me to a link?

It's an Audio event not a visual event. The Video shows the CPKC train but the near miss is off camera and left to the imagination.

Still serious though.

+ reverse movement begins around 13 minutes in...

This is a tough one only making sense by including the audio.  Other than that, a train appears, slows down and stops.  After a bit it backs up.  Without the audio, it appears pretty routine.

One I saw did show the train stopped and then slowly start sliding backwards speed increasing. Audio didnt really match too well  but could here the discussion to and from the engineer and dispatch. Oh and some wag comment was made about setting the hand brakes on them could just see someone getting on a car applying a hand brake dont know why as wheels should have been sliding due to the emergency brake being on.
