Colorado & Southern Baggage Car in Snowy Denver
Author: cozephyr

Retired Colorado & Southern/CB&Q baggage car (railway post office-?) along with boxcars stored on Denver Rock Island RR (DRIR) in snowy Denver, CO, 10 February 2024.  Anyone know the car number-?   No lettering or car number was evident on the side I photographed.

Moved from Robinson Dairy and placed at Colorado Eastern/Denver Rock Island for storage.  I understand its owned by the Illinois Railway Museum.  Baggage car by snow covered switch.  Car on Denver Rock Island Railroad northeast of Denver, Colorado.

I aksed my son if this car is now at IRM. They received a car recently, not sure this is the one.

I see no evidence of that car having an RPO. The Post Office had standard designs for 15, 30 and 60 foot Postal Apartments with very little leeway allowed.
