Stack Train with Warbonnet and Hoppers
Author: Agent

I caught a BNSF container train on the Ottumwa Subdivision this morning.  I don't get a lot of chances at intermodals on this coal-heavy line.  Even considering that, this one stood out to me.

1) BNSF 6190 leads its westbound train into Agency, Iowa.

2) A Dash 9 warbonnet is second out and is oddly not the most unusual sight on the train.  Behind the engines are fourteen two-bay covered hoppers.  This is the first time I've seen non-intermodal freight on a BNSF intermodal.

3) Another shot of BNSF 782.

4-5) More shots that include the hoppers.

6) Florida East Coast well car FEC 74316.

It's a PSR practice I generally endorse, especially for ISO containers which aren't as high a service priority as domestics.
