Western Railroad Discussion > Stack Train with Warbonnet and HoppersDate: 02/22/24 19:31 Stack Train with Warbonnet and Hoppers Author: Agent I caught a BNSF container train on the Ottumwa Subdivision this morning. I don't get a lot of chances at intermodals on this coal-heavy line. Even considering that, this one stood out to me.
1) BNSF 6190 leads its westbound train into Agency, Iowa. 2) A Dash 9 warbonnet is second out and is oddly not the most unusual sight on the train. Behind the engines are fourteen two-bay covered hoppers. This is the first time I've seen non-intermodal freight on a BNSF intermodal. 3) Another shot of BNSF 782. ![]() ![]() ![]() Date: 02/22/24 19:33 Re: Stack Train with Warbonnet and Hoppers Author: Agent Date: 03/03/24 13:23 Re: Stack Train with Warbonnet and Hoppers Author: pbouzide It's a PSR practice I generally endorse, especially for ISO containers which aren't as high a service priority as domestics.
