From the video, it looks like only two of the booster cars have cooling units on them, which leads me to think that they may be the cars that carry the forward skirts containing each booster's avionics. "Anyone know what's in the boosters that musn't get hot?" The booster segments contain solid propellant that is quite flammable. These may be empties going back to Northrop Grumman's facility in Promontory, Utah. There was recently a delivery to Florida of the booster segments for the NASA Space Launch System (SLS). They will be mated with the Boeing built Core Stage of the SLS at the Vehicle Assembly Building at Kennedy Space Center. Just curious: where is that facility? Can't find it, so far. Date: 02/28/24 12:15 Re: Rocket Booster Cars Across UP Overland Route 26 Feb 2024 Author: nrubin timz Wrote:

Here's where they test fire the solid rockets: https://www.google.com/maps/place//@41.6465377,-112.3901611,836m/data=!3m1!1e3?entry=ttu Date: 03/01/24 12:11 Re: Rocket Booster Cars Across UP Overland Route 26 Feb 2024 Author: pbouzide I'm curious about the routing between Memphis and KC from a high/wide clearance perspective.
Whether via StL and Jeff City or NLR and Van Buren. Clearance over the Mississippi River bridge at Memphis seemingly not an issue. Date: 03/01/24 12:47 Re: Rocket Booster Cars Across UP Overland Route 26 Feb 2024 Author: timz Don't see any rails at the plant
