Departing Summit
Author: MacBeau

November last year, this westbound was recorded getting underway at Summit on Cajon Pass with some interesting changes in engine noise approximately seventeen seconds into the video. This looked like a Barstow-Porphyry, but that is just a guess. The entire train is shown unedited.
Be of good cheer,

Nice manifest train on your sharp video Mac. Did hear the difference in sound at around the 17 second mark.

With all of those LNG cars this could be a San Diego train. They normally make a setout at Porphyry for the Corona Switcher on the way down.
