Reasonable weather and heavy traffic = good railfanning. Very nice leadoff with BNSF #193 and covered gons. MRL #4307 and more covered gons was a very nice catch. Guess at some point MRL units and rolling stock will be patched. Coal still rolls through Ritzville: always good to see. Especially like the dramatic clouds in Photo 18. Unit Of The day is BNSF #9774, no other would due. Thanks for the interesting Ritzville action update. Your work and time are always much appreciated. ALLEN Date: 03/25/24 16:26 Re: BNSF On The Roll Author: SP8100 Larry,
Pictures 1 thru 3 are the H-LAUPAS with the two GE's and the BNSF 193. I too caught it a little earlier than you. My picture posted here is from West Fishtrap siding going away. Glad you got a good variety of trains and I see that MOW was definitely in the backyard on the 6th of March. Geez!! Valmont, I got a little bit more information for you in my next post.. Montana Resources has the cars since BNSF didn't want them. It's been at least like that for 6-7 weeks now. I caught one on February 9th, 2024 heading for export. Where I don't exactly know.. They are coming from Butte, MT. As far as motive power, they are simply B units as they don't have iso cabs, PTC or DPU equipped. I would imagine that when they are scheduled to be repainted, they will emerge with a new number as the 4300 that currently sit in orange are BNSF C44-9W's from lot built in January 1999, serial numbers 51635 to 51655.
