Building a Tank Car

While doing some research for building a 1/12 scale tank car, I came across the website of UTLX, and manufacturer and leaser of tank cars.  They have a great page outlining the design and build of their tank cars, so thought I would share!  Build A Tank Car

That takes me back
I used to work at the UTLX plant in East Chicago IN back in the late 1980's
They did everything there, from raw steel plates to a finished rail car
Sadly the plant was closed and all production moved to Louisiana
