UP 8845 West Last Month - Last Cars, How Does Graffiti Happen?
Author: FiveChime

A little chase down Donner a few weeks ago to capture nice sounding K5LL on
SD70AH 8845 at Carpenter Road, below Cape horn east of Colfax.
The "Canas" car right before the end sort of stood out.
We have all probably seen this sort of artwork on the outside of freight cars
these days, however do we ever think how this happens?
First, think of the amount of spray paint necessary to do this, then, where might
of the car been parked, for how long to enable this extensive painting to occur?
Must of been in a very isolated location with perhaps a team of people involved.
Regards, Jim Evans

I watch a fair amount of train videos on YT, and have seen Canus before.  About 10 years ago I also saw a video of an autorack being vandalized in a similar manner.  The knucklehead had ladders, scaffolding and a ton of paint.  Quite an ordeal.

The few Special Agents still left on the payroll would rather hassle "safe" railfans than pursue "unsafe" vandals, the work is easier... === === = === JLH
