Western Railroad Discussion > Phase 7s Leading the ZephyrDate: 04/13/24 20:38 Phase 7s Leading the Zephyr Author: ColoradoRailfan Two of the three P42DCs that have been repainted in the new Phase 7 livery led the westbound Zephyr out of Denver this morning. I had a pretty busy day, but was able to take a few minutes to get a few shots not far west of C&S Junction. AMTK 138 (the latest repaint) and AMTK 82 were elephant-style on the train as it was westbound on Main 1.
I've read that Amtrak plans to repaint rolling stock in this scheme. That'll be really interesting to see Superliners wearing Phase 7! One things for sure...Amtrak will be extremely colorful and noticable! I think these new paint jobs are a vast improvement over the old colors on the P42s. I knew they were coming but had to work this morning. Thanks for sharing!

But I would prefer the phase III red/white/blue stripes (aka American Airlines). The livery is more visible WP17 Date: 04/14/24 08:01 Re: Phase 7s Leading the Zephyr Author: WP17 dan Wrote:

Focus on getting back to operational and fiscal soundness.
