1)  WB, serendipidty to get Roadrailer.  Last minute arrival, not photo I would have planned but OK with it.
2)  Was blowing rain a few minutes earlier but late sun was nice with changing weather.
3)  I would have loved a WB now but still interesting scene.

7) This is on IC just south of diamond
8) Not familiar with IC line here approaching crossing,    Yard is just to the north. 
    I didn't know what the little building was, thought kind if  odd.
9)  The I found this online, large station and they left the little end part.  Don't know if used as station at end or for other purposes.

Kinda ?,  didn't shoot the Wabash station here but it is antique mall, lots of current and past photos online.

# 7 has the look of an old freight house.

WABIC tower was situated in the SW quadrant of the interlocking area. Just to the west was the Wabash depot, and one time division offices. The last I knew, the old depot (a nice, large brick structure) was still standing and in use as an antique mall.

 

The smaller building at the end of the IC depot was the baggage room or "baggage annex" as I've seen it described.  Here is a Jeff Van Cleve photo from my collection taken 6/26/2016.

Back in November of 2012 I visited Decatur under the very capable guidance of a former TO member: ( My (rainy day) Wabash Scrapbook (trainorders.com) ). With the hometown KSU pep band turning "The Wabash Cannonball" into a crowd favorite, I've been a Wabash fan since the late 60s. And I really enjoyed exploring this old Wabash town!

I believe the smaller pillars in the background of your # 5 in the 2012 link are the remains of the Illinois Terminal's bridge across the lake.

I had to go back and look. Thanks for that tidbit, too! I'll bet Gary told me as much, but I'd forgotten it. 12 years is a long time for this old goat... ;^)
