Trailing MRL motor on today's H-GFDNTW building in the train yard

A pair of EMD SD70ACe's, BNSF #8997 (built: 12/2014) and MRL #4302 (built: 05/2005), are seen here slowly dragging a cut of 66-cars forward to begin making their double over as they work to built their Grand Forks, ND --to-- Northtown, MN eastbound mixed manifest freight train in an eventual 2x1 power configuration (with a CSX "GEVO" motor serving as the lone DPU) in the BNSF Grand Forks, ND, train yard during the partly cloudy mid-afternoon hours of 04/20/2024.

so with BNSF taking over MRL did they keep their SD70ACe locos and assign them throughout the system?

The non-iso cab 4300s are roaming the system in trail only service while the iso cab 4400s are mostly still at "home"
