What’s the current traffic levels like on the Ex Soo (CPKC) between the Canadian border at North Portal down through Minot to the Twin Cities? Any idea what symbols are used on movements? Appreciate any insight. But it is the key line between the US and western Canada. All CTC now with 49 MPH running.

The line from Portal to Glenwood, MN (west of Minneapolis) got upgraded within the last few years, I'm guessing around the time that the oil trains were running hot and heavy. the line from Glemwood to Minneapolis has alway been CTC as far as I can remember. Radio Freq are as follows Portal Sub - Portal to Harvey, ND 161.370 Carrington Sub - Harvey to Enderlin, ND 160.770 Elbow Lake Sub - Enderlin, ND to Glenwood, MN 161.085 Paynesville Sub - Glenwood to Minneapolis, MN 161.370 Detroit Lakes Sub going north from Glenwood towards Winnipeg is TWC on 161.520 and sees trains 240/241. |
