A Gentlemanly Coal Train
Author: swaool

An NPPX (Nebraska Public Power) coal train headed for the Gerard Gentleman power plant near Sutherland (NE) has taken the turnout from the South Morrill sub at CP Jordan and is shown climbing up the ramp to the ridge which separates the North and South Platte River valleys.  4/24/24.

Nice shots, Mike!  Like the new paint scheme on the rebuilds.

Nice post from a rather rural area. I believe T.O. Santefe199 posted a few from here a bit back. It looks very dry and susceptable to wildfire, a spring problem.

I'll be out that way in June.  What are traffic levels like?

Nice shot in a territory not often seen - thanks. Very dry there indeed, and hope you were able to keep all of those brambles / "sticker balls" off your pants.
