Herzog Ballast train heading north through Brigham City, UT.
Author: Paniolo_man

I stopped at the Pilot in Willard this afternoon. As I left the building the daily Brigham City-Ogden train rolled by and stopped along the siding. A few minutes later a Herzog ballast train pulled into the siding and stopped. I hurried to Brigham City to get a video of it passing the yard. I had to hurry to Logan, otherwise i'd have raced it to Cache Junction and recorded it in Bear River Canyon. I'll also attach a picture of the train in Willard and the field next to the tracks in Willard that has been purchased by UTA for use as a Frontrunner station at some point in the intermediate future.

Nice video of a very healthy ballast train.  Is this coming from the quary I've seen outside Cheyenne, or is there somewhere closer where this train is loaded?
