Northern Pacific GP9 317 on the move.....again!
Author: dklaRR

Northern Pacific GP9 (KLIX) 317 has finally departed Northtown Yard in Minneapolis. The trace showed it departing this morning, but it snuck out last night on a NTWPAS train. Its last trace was Nolan, ND at 5:15AM. It shows an arrival in Minot, ND at 12:34PM, Williston at 16:01, and Glasgow, MT 22:04. If anyone is interested in trying to catch it today, feel free to PM me, and I'll provide an update based on the BNSF trace.

Curious, who owns this unit? Thanks.

Same here. The lettering style screams BUGX, which is why asked in an earlier thread if KLIX is the new BUGX.

This loco is currently owned by the Promontory Chapter of the NRHS, it was donated by Klarr Locomotive Industries (KLIX) 2 years ago. Once it receives some final work at Western Rail, ownership will be transferred to the Inland Northwest Rail Museum. KLIX has no affiliation with BUGX, but we have worked together in the past.

Very nice, thanks for posting its progress. I look forward to seeing it at the Inland Northwest Rail Museum!

PS: hopefully someone will turn the monad 180 degrees so it is right side up.

You can take those time estimates and throw them out. Big orange can't get a H train into Pasco if it's not at least 87 hours late.

Will it be dropped in Spokane or taken all the way to Pasco?
