...on the good ol’ KP!

Last month I had yet another 4 train day on my hometown Union Pacific, also known as the “KP”. I’ve been having regular 3-train days, as well. Lucky timing, I guess. Jeepers, at this rate a railfan like me could get spoiled pretty fast! Flint Who?*

1. CSXT 3015 sits at the point of WB grain empty(?) at Junction City, KS.

UP 1943, the Armed Forces Heritage unit was the star of the show:

2. And here is the 1943 at Rossville, KS.

3. UP 8072 gets co-star billing, coming over the Big Blue River just east of Manhattan, KS.

4. As does UP 9603 hauling a unit tanker through New Cambria, KS.

Good stuff! I like the 1943 in any setting. Thanks for sharing.

Nice catches. Wonderful to see the KP getting some trains back on it. Hope it continues after the grain facilities dump some of their storage as it is such a good secondary Main and way of moving revenue traffic

Yeah... and maybe I'm also having some 'good timing' episodes. Either way it sure helps me ignore my sadness whenever I visit the pitiful shell of what Salina used to be... :^(
