1. Last night around 8:30pm I caught the 44 Local arriving at Ontario, OR pulling up the North Pass to tie down it's inbound cars. Also had a pair of units to swap out the 45 Local's power downtown. I photographed some individual cars as well as the block of mostly Oregon Eastern cars on the end. There was a huge block of empty cement hoppers near the head end. The local originates at Nampa, ID switching at Caldwell, Notus, Parma and Nyssa before turning back at Ontario, often switching on the return trip too. They don't always make it back to Nampa.

2. Ex-coal gon SSTX 1057

3. New scrap gon SSTX2115

5. SSTX 2162 new scrap gon.

6. Block of CRYX/Lineage reefers, PD hopper cars and tankcars, most of which are going to the Oregon Eastern shortline.

Nice to see those forties, locals have become increasingly the home of the SD70Ms.

I suppose in the old days, this would be called the Huntington Local.

The 58 local is the one that works from Nampa and Huntington on Saturdays, and the 32 local runs from Huntington to the cement plant at Nelson, OR. The 45 local forwards the cement cars from Ontario to Huntington on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
