Western Railroad Discussion > WP's Silver Planet

I've lost track of my all-time favorite passenger car: Western Pacific's California Zephyr Silver Planet obs dome.  Can anyone fill me in and some sources that might be of interest? Last time I heard it was shipped to Mexico? Thanx in advance.

was a strip joint and then had a fire is the last i can remember, it was with another car or two and then disappeared from view AT it's location on the google earth view someone pointed out, think on a disconnected track?

It's on a private Business Park, safe now. I'm afraid after that fire damage, it most likely has suffered drastically and it's structural integrity has been compromised... But at least we're lucky it still exists. I rode in it in 2004, back when it was part of the Expreso de la Independencia set.
