5-6) WB toward Caliente and Las Vegas crew change and departing. I beleive this is salt lake to long beach. This is before 10 AM. 8-9) Modena, UT West of Milford, east of Clover Creek Canyon and Caliente. Bob More Milford to follow Date: 06/19/24 08:35 Re: Crew Change at Milford Utah and Misc Author: railstiesballast Milford was a meal stop for the old Butte Special.
The first time my wife and I rode it and the crew announced "20 minutes for lunch" so we hurried to the store, bought some snacks and got back on. And waited. And waited until the Conductor ambled back to the train, then we departed. The second time we rode it we followed the Conductor to the coffee shop and had a nice meal, and walked back with him, in comfortable time before the real departure time. The Butte Special at Milford? I thought that train originated in Salt Lake City and went north from there. Guess I'm wrong. Can someone enlighten us? Brian Black Castle Rock, CO |
