Plenty of Clearance
Author: funnelfan

The Euclid Rd bridge that was condemned and replaced a few years back, was just around the curve from the east switch of Lyons siding on BNSF's Columbia River Sub. Back on October 4th, 2003 the wooden bridge was still carrying the load of trucks and automobiles as a airplane passed underneath with room to spare. BNSF SD40-2 #8085 and MRL SD40-2XR's #256 and #262 lead the P-MEMSSE west. By this point in time the P-MEMSSE was taking the long way around via St Paul because the coal lines were overflowing with trains. Soon BNSF dropped the P-MEMSSE along with many other intermodal trains that normally traveled over the coal routes due to congestion. The Boeing load was added at Hauser Yard, but not sure if that was where the MRL units were added or not.
