Western Railroad Discussion > BNSF C44-9W #965 shows off its now 9+ year old H1/H3 nose job…Date: 10/28/24 08:11 BNSF C44-9W #965 shows off its now 9+ year old H1/H3 nose job… Author: MrMRL Captured recently at BNSF's Hobart Intermodal Yard in Los Angeles, CA. BNSF Railway H3 logo on an H1 body, (GE built) C44-9W # BNSF 965, delivered July, 1996. Now wearing the updated H3 "swoosh" logo across its nose now for close to 10 years! Amazing how quickly the "new" logo has become the dominant/withstanding logo of this near 30 year old corporation.

Not sure yet, I've already done a similar H1/H3 unit BNSF 1063, but that had modified (curved) nose strips, vs the horizontal job the 965 received. ~ Mr. MRL Date: 10/30/24 06:53 Re: BNSF C44-9W #965 shows off its now 9+ year old H1/H3 nose job Author: djd83 The H1 on these Dash 9s might be the most resilient paint scheme in the history of diesel locomotives

The old UP AC44s in their original paint from about the same time as H1 look pretty rough. Posted from iPhone |
